Pricing

Per unique recipient. Predictable. Headcount-based.

CertSafe is billed by the number of unique workers you have issued at least one certificate to — not by how many certs you issue. A worker who receives five certs from you is one billing line. Workers and verifiers pay nothing.

How the model works

1 cert / worker

Issue one cert to a worker. Pay for one recipient.

10 certs / same worker

Issue ten certs to the same worker (renewals, refreshers, multiple cert types). Still pay for one recipient.

100 workers in a class

Issue OSHA 30 to a class of 100 students. Pay for 100 recipients in that billing period.

Standard rate
$X/ unique recipient / month

Final rate is set with you during onboarding. The dollar placeholder above is replaced with a finalised number before launch.

Annual billing

Pay annually and save a meaningful margin versus monthly — exact discount confirmed at onboarding.

Volume tiers

Volume discounts apply above defined thresholds. If you're issuing to thousands of recipients, talk to us — we'll model your unit economics together.

Free trial

14-day free trial after your issuer application is approved. No credit card required.

Free sides

Workers and verifiers pay nothing — they always have. The network effect that makes your issuer offer valuable is free.

Pricing questions

What counts as a unique recipient?

Each distinct worker your organisation has issued at least one certificate to in the billing month. A worker who exists in your CertSafe account but holds zero certs from you (e.g. removed from a roster before issuance) does not count. A worker who holds any number of certs from you counts as exactly one recipient.

Do renewals and reissues count as new recipients?

No. The unit is the recipient, not the certificate. A worker who renews their OSHA 30 with you for the fifth year in a row is still one billing line. Only when you onboard a brand-new worker does your count go up.

What happens to billing when I revoke a cert?

Revocation doesn't change the recipient's billing status. If the worker still has any valid CertSafe-issued cert from you, they remain a billable recipient. If revoking removes their last cert from you, they become a non-recipient at the next billing cycle.

What if I'm a GC, not a training company?

Same product, same pricing. You're charged per active worker on your roster that you've issued at least one cert or orientation to. This makes the cost predictable against your workforce headcount rather than against how many internal orientations or permits you issue.

Does the 14-day free trial require a credit card?

No. After your issuer application is approved, you can issue and verify for 14 days before adding a payment method. We'll prompt you before the trial ends.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel from the billing portal. You retain access through the end of the period you've already paid for. Certs you've already issued stay valid in workers' wallets and remain verifiable; you just can't issue new ones once cancelled.

Do you offer annual pricing?

Yes. Annual billing saves a meaningful margin versus monthly — exact discount confirmed at onboarding. Enterprise customers can pay by invoice with ACH on annual plans.

What payment methods do you accept?

Major credit and debit cards via Stripe for all plans. Enterprise customers can pay by invoice / ACH on annual plans.

What happens to issued certs if I stop paying?

Certs you've already issued stay valid in workers' wallets and remain verifiable by supervisors — that's a worker-side asset, not yours to revoke for billing reasons. While unpaid, your issuer account can't issue new certs or run revoke / renew / reissue actions; service resumes when the account is brought current.

Why isn't the dollar amount shown yet?

We're finalising the rate with design-partner customers. Tell us your workforce size during the application and we'll confirm pricing during onboarding. The model (per unique recipient) won't change.
